Lois DiPaolo Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 22, 2017.
Lois M. DiPaolo, 79, of Aurora, passed away Saturday, July, 22, 2017. She was born July 1, 1938 in Chicago, daughter of the late Chester and Helen Zborowski. Her intelligence was obvious at a very early age. At one-year old her mother would show her off to neighbors because her vocabulary already included words such as "Linoleum". As a teen, she was not only top of her class at Sienna High School in Chicago, but also a very talented artist. Upon finishing school, Lois married, had five children, and still went on to have a successful career in automotive accounting. She worked for many dealerships but eventually worked her way up to the Prestigious Currie Motors Group. Lois became known as "The Queen of Currie Motors." She was admired and respected by all who worked with her. She retired in 2007 but will never be forgotten. She was also known by everyone when their birthday came around they would be serenaded by her singing birthday bear. She loved to play dice (which she usually won) and drink her scotch flavored water. Lois was a great lady and a wonderful mother. She is survived by her children, Anthony DiPaolo, Gail (John) Korallus, Richard DiPaolo, Christopher DiPaolo and Paul (Teresa) DiPaolo; granddaughter, Michelle DiPaolo; brother, Chester "Bud" (Helen) Zborowski. Along with her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Levine and her feline friends from over the years, Peggy, Sam, Taffy, Spunky, Abbie, Palmer, Nicki, Holly, Alidina, Mr. Tibbs, Grey, Blackie, Kiki, Cisco and Niki. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 11 AM until time of service 2 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL 60506. Burial will be private.

Gail,

I'm sorry to hear of your mother's passing. It's always so difficult to lose a parent.

Sharon is so upset about losing a good friend. They didn't see much of each other these past few years but she has lots of memories of the good times they had in the past.

I'll be thinking of you in the coming days and what you will be going through.

Sharon's sister, Shirley
