GREAT FALLS - Mr. Richard Wayne Skinner Sr., 74, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Springs Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Second Baptist Church, with the Rev. Zack Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Avenue, Great Falls, S.C.
Mr. Skinner was born July 16, 1938, in Hoopeston, Ill., and was a son of the late Walter E. Skinner and Anna Fink Skinner. He attended the schools of East Lynn, Ill., served in the U.S. Navy and was retired from J.P. Stevens. Mr. Skinner was a founding member of Chester County Rescue Squad.
He is survived by his wife of over 31 years, Pam Brown Skinner; seven daughters, Vicki Lie and husband, Vidar of Skreia, Norway, Lynda Hunter and husband, Mike of Blackstock, Angie Lipford and husband, Chris of Chester, Donna Timms and husband, Brian of Chester, Nancy Orr and husband, Roger of Chester, Becky East of Blackstock and Sharon Grant and husband, Josh of Blackstock; four sons, David Skinner and wife, Angela of Alvaton, Ky., Jarrod Skinner and wife, Barbara of Great Falls, Richard "Pee Wee" Skinner Jr. and wife, Katina of Cranberry, Pa., and Warren "Bubba" Skinner and wife, Betsy of Great Falls; his mother-in-law, Claudine Gunter of Great Falls; one brother-in-law, Kevin Brown of Great Falls; 28 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three brothers, George Skinner of Danville, Ill., Larry Skinner of Warsaw, Ky., and Jess Skinner of Danville, Ill.; a life-long friend, Lonnie Yancey of Great Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Don and four sisters, Shirley, Dot Mary and Faye.
