Cherished mother of Robin and Herbert Greenspan, Laurel Herman Crawley and Dave Crawley and Tina Herman Buck; longtime loving companion of Jay Newberg, MD, of blessed memory; best friend and sister of Harriet Hauser, of blessed memory; beloved grandmother of Gabriel, Mary, Deborah, Moses, Andrew and Daniel Greenspan; cherished "Auntie Lois" to Iris Walker, Adrea Suddith, Lori Veliz and Michael Hauser; doting grandma of "Grandpup" SammyDix. Services at Rodef Shalom Temple, 4905 Fifth Avenue (at Morewood) on Thursday at 10 a.m. Visitation at Temple one hour prior to services (9 a.m. - 10 a.m.). Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Rodef Shalom Temple, 4905 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 or Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 50 Moffett Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15243. Arrangements entrusted to RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC.

To the entire Herman family:
We want to extend our deepest condolences to the family from the Newberg children. I know my father loved and adored Lois and enjoyed spending many years by year side sharing all the things that were missing in their lives. Lois was an incredibly caring, understanding, supportive and loving partner to my father. We do and will miss them both and continue to relish found memories of the time I spent with them apart and together. The gifts they left me will also be with us.

Robin, Laurel and Tina,
Your mother epitomized style and graciousness. She spoke lovingly of each of you and we came to know all of your triumphs. She inspired all of us in Kaufmann's Advertising department and helped us to grow professionally.
I'll miss her smile.

Dear Laurel,
I extend my deepest condolences to you, your sisters, and all of your family.
I have such a crystal clear memory of your Mother back in the days of John Minadeo. She was stunning.
I am so sorry that my schedule did not allow for me to attend today's service.
Perhaps there will be a time, in the not too distant future, when I could invite to you to lunch or dinner as gesture of sympathy.
