Lois Lillian Pratt (née Mueller)-age 99-passed away on May 8, 2024, in Tampa, Florida. She was born on September 22, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois and lived most of her life in Cincinnati, OH.

Lois was a beloved figure known for her kindness and generosity. She dedicated her time to various community activities, volunteered at the Cincinnati Museum Center, served as PTA president, and was an active member of church committees and her homeowner's association. She also volunteered for the Western Hamilton County Economic Council. Lois enjoyed bowling well into her 80s, was an exceptional bridge player until her retirement at 92, and had a passion for music, often attending symphony and theater performances.

Family meant everything to Lois. She was generous and loving towards her daughter, Elyce Pratt Turba, son, Richard Pratt, grandsons John Turba, Jr. (Ashley), Ronald Turba (Laura), Charles Pratt (Stephanie), and her great-grandchildren Eliana, Annabelle, John III, Alyssa, Hannah, Joshua, Caleb, Lucas, and Brooklyn. Lois remained close to her sister's family as well. She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Ronald Pratt, her son Richard Pratt, her father Louis Mueller, her mother Louise Uecker Mueller, and her sister Gladys Greenburg.

Lois graduated from Proviso High School in Chicago and later took classes in bookkeeping. She believed her main purpose in life was to be a dear partner to her husband, Ron, devotedly care for her children, and later her grandchildren. Lois worshipped at the United Methodist Church both in Cheviot and Delhi. She loved God and modeled her faith through generosity to others. Her hobbies included bowling, playing bridge, crafting, and baking.

It was such a joy to know Lois. She always had something interesting to say and was always interested in what we had to say. Lois was good friends with Rob's parents for years, Reg and Muriel Jackson. She was a blessing to our church, Shiloh UMC.

We were just talking about Lois today.
We had no idea she had passed away until my husband found it on Legacy. She was a lovely lady. We purchased her house on Riverama Drive and had 19 wonderful years there. She was kind, generous and always had a smile on her face. We are so very sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with her entire family.

Lois always had a smile on her face. We could count on seeing her every Sunday and enjoyed those visits. She liked her golf games and we always kidded her about the elusive hole in one.

Lois, what a truly special person. I came to know her by doing her hair for many years. I learned about her family, friends, and interest as well as she knew mine. She would come to the salon twice a week. She would some times bring us homemade treats. Which brought joy to us and her. She even would make cards for my birthday and my husbands which I thought was great. She always cared about her appearance. She care about her appearance so much that I was the benefiiciary of her Lancome bonuses and/or bags. I still use them today. I am sure she is in heaven with her hair and nails done, dressed appropriately. The table set waiting for her friends to get a game of bridge going.

I will always remember Lois as a kind and generous lady. She was a big patron of our music program at Shiloh United Methodist Church. She purchased sets of handbells for the church so we could have a handbell choir for many years. Several times she hosted the choir brunch at the Western Hills Country Club. We have missed her over the past several years since she move to be with Elyce in Tampa. I will always have fond memories of the time we spent with Lois.

Lois was a shining light. Her big smile was always welcoming. She was a strong determined lady that made things happen. She was a great organizer and planner. She always made one feel important.

I worked for Ron at E&D for ten years and they both treated me as a daughter. I was always welcomed in their home. They were the first people that came to the hospital after my son Todd Thomas was born.

Lois was not only my boss's wife but she was a true lifelong friend that I visited many times. We always went to lunch or dinner whenever I came into town. She sent me cards and gifts many times over the years.

Lois loved her family and her home. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. She was a lady that loved and lived life to the fullest. I will miss her greatly...
