Dear Herb and John and Family,

As someone who was blessed by the grant she and your dad began, I am grateful for the faith and vision they shared. What a full and blessed life!

I found that when BOTH parents had passed it was a deeper grief though. No one knew us like they did and they carried our memories. So be gentle with yourselves and trust the One who has promised to lead us all the way through the 'valley of the shadow.'

God is with you,
Val Roberts-Toler

Rest in peace to our wonderful neighbor, Lois Taylor. We feel so fortunate to have known her. I have many cherished memories of her kindness and warmth. For more than forty years, she generously welcomed our family to use her tennis court - a gift that became the backdrop of countless competitive and playful tennis matches filled with laughter. Even now, watching our children run and play there, it continues to be a constant place of joy for our family because of her.

Lois was a devoted woman - to her family, to her faith, and of course, to the Celtics. I remember as a child spending Christmas Eve at her house: the 20' tree glowing, her grand library lined with books, her home feeling like something from a storybook - like the library from Beauty and the Beast brought to life. It was magical, just like her.

We will miss you dearly, Lois. Your love lives on in your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren - and in all of us who had the pleasure of being your neighbors. You leave behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and quiet grace.
I have no doubt that you are now a guardian angel to your family with the same gentle spirit, and I like to think that you and my dad have already found each other again, reminiscing and smiling over all the good times shared.

Love,
Meredith, Chris, and the Wallace Family.

My heartfelt condolences to all of the family. Lois was such a sweet woman who will always hold a special place in my heart as her late husband Blaine was the pastor at UMC Osterville when my family and I moved to Cape Cod. May Lois rest in peace.
