I had the honor of being one of Lola's caretakers over 10 yrs ago. She always had a beautiful smile and a quick wit. When my mother passed away she was kind enough to return a gift I had given her; a handmade lap throw that my mother had made. She thought it better that I have it than her. She was a very kind spirited lady.

Lola Ruth was my best friend all through our years at Central High. After I married and moved to Calif. we lost touch until I attended a reunion in 2005. I am so grateful I took time out to visit her at that time. I truly regret not keeping in contact and will truly miss her.
