Lona Mae Peterson

On behalf of the whole Peterson family, I would like to send out a huge hug(and of course one from mom)and an warm thank you to all of you who have written so many beautiful, touching, and heart warming notes. As all of you know, mom was everything to us, the very center of our lives. We all have a very painful hole in our hearts and it's hard to know how to continue on without mom here. It is comforting to have so many great friends to help us through this difficult time. Mom was very proud to have had such amazing friends and family.

Today, I learned that the lady, whom I've respected and loved for the pasted 8 years, went home. I know that the Lord must have needed her and in Lona's fashion, she left peacefully. I know that Lona is now the guardian angel over her your family because her spirit lives on. I love you and will miss you. Until we meet again...

I worked with Lona for approximately 10 years and know that she was a truly wonderful human being who ALWAYS had a smile and a kind word. She was a warm and caring person who valued family above anything else (she constantly talked about her family) The Best Buy family will truly mourn the loss of this wonderful person!

I knew Lona for several years at Best Buy. She became more than a co-worker. She became my friend. She always stayed in touch and I visited with her each time I traveled to MN. I will miss her.

Lona always had a smile and a hello for me when I would walk past her cube. Even though I didn't know Lona well I feel a sense of loss at her passing as there will not be another like her.

My heart goes out to your family and to everyone who will deeply miss Lona.

What a caring, strong and “spunky” gal. She helped make any occasion fun.

I recall the two of us occupying the back two seats of a four passenger plane, laughing and joking, while the entire time she gripped my arm and hand so hard it left marks. I am saddened that the grandchildren will not have more such cherished moments, but I know those they have are very, very special. She gave so much to so many.
