I remember Mr. O´Dell when I was at the beginning of my 25 year career at TEC as an Interviewer 1 at the north Austin office. When he entered our office he didn´t just go to the manager´s office for business and leave. He made it a point to stop by everyone´s desk (that didn´t have an applicant) to pass pleasantries with us. Most of the time he´d bring vegetables from his garden for employees. A most wonderful man !

I did not know Mr. O'Dell, but I worked with his sweet wife, Maude, for many years at Rocketdyne in McGregor. She was a technical editor and I was a layout typist. She taught me so very much about prospals, presentations and reports, but she also taught me many important lessons about life. I was young and will forever treasure the years we worked together. And, Maude, I still work the crosswords puzzle every morning - that is my therapy. You and the family have Charles' and my sympathy at the time of your loss. We are so pleased that you had 20 happy years of married bliss! Until we meet again on the other side, God bless!

SAILING HOME
As we go through the cycle of life we meet new friends and share live experiences and memories with our families. Through our life cycle we pass through various portals – conception, the comfort of our mother’s womb, birth and various earthly challenges. Just as in birth when we pass into our earthly portal, our friends and family that have preceeded us in death have passed through into a Heavenly portal.
It has been said that life and death could be compared to a ship sailing over the horizon. While the ship and its cargo are sailing away from our view and getting smaller, the same ship is sailing into view of our Heavenly Father and is getting larger and larger as it approaches Heaven’s gates. The good Lord is there to welcome the ship and its cargo into port and will take care of its precious cargo, our loved ones.
We hope these thoughts have brought some comfort to you. Know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
