Lonny Allan Doxsee, of Little River, SC, passed away at his home on August 26,2025.

Lonny was born on September 2, 1963, at FT. Sill, Oklahoma, to Willis and Carolyn Doxsee. Lonny graduated from UTHS in 1981, after graduating he joined the U.S Marine Corps and was stationed at MCLB Albany. Lonny recently retired after a long career in hospitality in Myrtle Beach, SC.

A devoted fan of NASCAR, Chicago Cubs, and the Fighting Illini, Lonny also had a passion for bowling and achieved the rare honor of a perfect 300 game. Lonny was a rock and roll enthusiast from start to finish. He was also a lifelong dog lover, and his dogs meant the world to him.

Lonny will be missed by family and friends across the country.

He is survived by his mother Carolyn Doxsee of Silvis; sisters Korry Doxsee of Silvis and Kami Olmstead of Davenport; brother, Jason (Sara) Doxsee of Crown Point, Indiana; stepmother, Cheryl Doxsee; nephews Nolan Doxsee, Alec Doxsee, Justin Olmstead, Jonah Olmstead; great-nephew Liam Doxsee; Special friend and longtime companion Nancy Lohman.

He was preceded in death by his father Willis A Doxsee; grandmothers, Maxine Doxsee and Maxine Denly; Step- Grandmother, Betty Riggs; and Grandfathers, Alfred Riggs and Willis H Doxsee.

A Celebration of life will be held on September 20, from 3:00-6:00pm., at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 1550 7th Avenue, Silvis, Illinois.

A Marine for life with a great sense of humor, wonderful imagination and forever a man with sand in his shoes.
