Loran was one of those special people that a person doesn't meet too often in life. He was always cheerful, humble and so enthused with life. Family and friends were very important to him and it was an absolute pleasure to have known him.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Helen and Sheri and the rest of the family. We have been Lorans neighbor for 8 years and have gotten to know him quite well. He always had a story to share and kind words to say. He always asked how my children were and sometimes invited my boys over to sit and talk. We will miss seeing him working in his backyard everyday. He was one of the kindest, friendliest people I have ever known and we will all miss him deeply.

REMEMBERING MY FATHER
I remember my dad tucking me in and never forgetting my goodnight kiss.
I remember my dad coming home from work and three boys running to meet him.
I remember my dad getting me that very special tonka truck for Christmas.
I remember my dad taking me to church and reading me bible stories at night.
I remember my dad telling me I was no longer his baby but that he still loved me as much.
I remember my dad teaching me to drive and not getting mad when I wrecked the car fender.
I remember my dad looking so proud when he and all his sons were in the military together.
I remember my dad always accepting my friends and welcoming them into our home.
I remember my dad when I first moved out to live on my own.
I remember my dad when he fixed my first car and all the ones that followed.
I remember my dad when he welcomed my new bride into the family.
I remember my dads' joy when we presented him with his first grandson.
I remember my dad when he took his grandsons fishing.
I remember my dad when he broke his neck and the pain he always endured.
I remember my dad's advice and encouragement when I changed my career.
I remember my dad always ready to help and never asking anything in return.
I will always remember that no man on earth will ever have a greater or better influence on me and my life than my father.
I will always try to pass on the love and life lessons he taught me to my family and my fellow man.
I thank the Lord everyday that I was blessed with such a loving and understanding father and this note is my way of telling you how much I love and respect you for what you have done for me in this life.
Your Loving Son

As a former WSA employee, it was a pleasure to connect with Mr. Conrad from time to time when volunteers were needed. He was always willing to be of service and I greatly enjoyed listening to his stories and thoughts on various topics. Mr. Conrad was certainly proud of his family and my thoughts are with them now.

Loran was like a grand parent to my brother and I while we were growing up. He always had a story to tell and a joke to share. Loran was a man with the biggest, friendliest and loving personality of anyone I have ever known. He will be always remember in a happy way. Hopefully everyone who has ever known Loran, can keep a happy memory to cherish forever. He is a man that will be sadly missed. Our condolences go out to Helen, Sheri and the other family members. Our thoughts are with them in this time of sorrow.
