It was a privilege to have known and been in the presence of Dick. His acts of kindness, acceptance and service will always be remembered and honored. He was a mentor to us all and we are all better people for having known him. He was greatly cherished and loved and will be sorely missed.

My deepest condolences to the family, I remember his warmest reception I received the very first time I walk in the door of the church, he was always kind and welcome me. May the angels receive your humble soul. You were loved. May God strengthen the family.

One of my favorite occurrences on Sunday mornings throughout my entire life has been when I was always greeted with a hardy handshake, a big smile, and the genuine warmness of caring from Dick, every time I would walk into church. Words that immediately come to mind that describe Dick are: caring, compassionate, concerned for the well being of others. He was the epitome of what God looks like in an individual. Our hearts break for Janet and the Pope family, and we extend our deepest condolences and send all our love. -The Buehrle´s.

Dick was a wonderful person and friend. I first met him at Goodyear over 60 years ago and remained close friends to this day. He and Janet were an integral part of our social group who met monthly for lunch and then dessert. Judy and I loved being with them whenever and at church every Sunday. He will be truly missed and know now he is at peace. Heartfelt blessings and prayers at this most difficult time.
