Dale was a favorite relative of mine ....ALWAYS so fun and loving. Walking to his store to get candy was a favorite pastime of mine when visiting the Wier family. I looked forward to going to see Dale and Herb at the store as much as getting the candy. His smile and kind ways will be part of my memories forever.
With much love and sympathy,
Carolyn (Knolle) McNeill

What a dear man and friend to all. He gave all of us at North Side High his support and encouragement and on occasion a free lunch, when we had no money. Dale exemplified the Christian spirit, and showed his love of God by loving his neighbor. We were the lucky ones to know him.
Deepest sympathy.

What wonderful memories we all have of Dale's grocery. Dale was the sweetest guy. He always greeted you by name, he knew our parents and he always was a wonderful Northside Hi supporter. We were saddened to hear of his passing. May your own happy memories carry you through this sorrowful time.

To the family of Dale, please accept my deepest sympathies on your loss. I too feel a great loss, since I have known Dale for many decades, and I did/do so admire and appreciate his wonderful character and service to his fellow man. I lived four doors down from the 21st street store ( at 2108 Prairie Ave) from 1946 until I left Fort Worth in 1959 to enter the service. My family and I were sustained by the many fine editibles and groceries from Dale's shelves. But, most of all my family knew and appreciated the genuine and loving friendship and caring which Dale and Herb offered through the years. I personally feel a great loss, but at the same time, I know that Dale has gone on to a wonderful and deserving reward in "the next life".

Dale was a good friend, supporter, adviser and fellow methodist. One of my fond memories about Dale was the chewing gum he would bring to our two a day football practicies.

Dale was a friend to everyone. When my Father passed away while I was in North Side, Dale immediately offered me a job in his store. He was a wonderful boss and friend.
Joanie I am so very sorry. I will miss him.

My family went to church with Dale Wier at Trinity United Methodist Church for many years. My sister, Ann worked for Dale at his store back in the 1960's. He was a wonderful man and we know he has gone to a better place. We are blessed to have known him.
