Loretta Hollingsworth Compagno
February 19, 1933-January 26, 2021
Loretta Compagno passed away in Johns Creek, Georgia on Wednesday, January 26, 2021. Loretta was born on February 19, 1933 to parents Wayne Hollingsworth and Bernita Parks Hollingsworth. She married John Compagno on July 1, 1953 in Rock Island, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2017.
Loretta worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for 29 years. Her last position before retiring was the Country Manager for Asia-Pacific International Logistics Directorate.
Loretta took great pride in her marriage of 64 years to John before his death. Always sharing this information with everyone. Her other source of pride was the birth of her four daughters, Teresa, Gina, Lisa and Angi.
After retiring, Loretta and John decided to move to Florida permanently to live out their dream and favorite pastime of golfing. They lived a full life with dancing, golfing and enjoying many friendships. Loretta did some volunteer work with the Saint Vincent De Paul Hospice Group. After John's death she moved to Johns Creek Georgia to an Assisted Living facility. Moving her closer to older daughter, Teresa.
Survivors include Teresa (Terry) Berberich, Gina (Bernie) Remmes, Lisa (Jim) Carstens and Angi (Perry) Walker. Grandchildren, Andrea, Christina, Jonathan, Steven, Lynn, Austin, Jacob and Josh. Great Grandchildren include Marques, Jerimiah, Paisleigh, Emmalynn, Myra,Warren, Lexie and Bee. She also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Services and Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Loretta's final resting place will be at the Rock Island Arsenal in the Columbarium with her husband John.

So sorry to hear of Loretta's passing. We shared many laughs working side by side at the Arsenal. She was a beautiful lady and a true friend. Prayers for the family.
