Loretta KUSCH Obituary
July 31, 1959 - August 6, 2012
It is with a profound sense of sadness that we announce the passing of Loretta Kusch on Monday, August 6, 2012 at the age of 53 years, at St. Paul's Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer for five years. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Loretta was predeceased by her parents, John and Evelyn Gurski; her brother, Ernie and father-in-law William. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Jim; daughters, Leah Gurski (James) and Andrea Kusch. She is also survived by her brother, Perry (Rosanna) Gurski; sister, Wendy (Jim) Kunze and family; her two aunties, Rita and Lucille; mother in law, Rita Kusch; and numerous cousins. Loretta ran her own daycare for over twenty-five years. She loved kids with a passion. She also enjoyed spending time at the lake, camping, cooking, cross stitching, bingo, watching curling, and playing cards "Rummy". The twinkle in her eye and her mischievous grin will be lovingly missed and remembered by everyone. Vigil for Loretta will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2012 and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2012. Both services will be held at St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church, 1202 Avenue O South, Saskatoon, SK. Rite of committal will follow in Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice. Jim,Leah and Andrea. We just heard about Loretta's passing and we are so very sorry. We are terribly upset that we missed the funeral, as we all would have been there. Loretta babysat my two children when they were six and one years old. They are now 24 and 19, Loretta was a wonderful, caring person. Our deepest sympathies to Jim and the girls.

Jim, Andrea, and Leah there are no words to describe the loss of a woman as amazing as Loretta, she had a heart of gold. She was caring and touched a lot of lives. She will be deeply missed.
