LORETTA VANDERVEER LOCKLEAR
LUMBERTON — Mrs. Loretta Vanderveer Locklear, 71, of N.C. 72, Lumberton passed away Thursday. Nov. 22, 2018, at Morrison Manor Hospice in Laurinburg.
Mrs. Loretta was born March 30, 1947, in Jersey City, N.J. She is preceded in death by her parents, Milton A. Vanderveer and Grace O'Leary Vanerveer and also by two sons, Bobby Locklear Jr. and Timmy Locklear.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Bobby Gene Locklear of the home; a son, John A. Locklear of the home; two sisters, Grace Macintosh and June Vanderveer, both of New Jersey; a brother, Milton A. Vanderveer of Greensboro; and four grandchildren, Timmy Locklear, Isaiah Locklear, Lillie Locklear and Logan Locklear.
The funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 27, 2018, at Revels Funeral Home Chapel Lumberton with Rev. Teddy Jacobs and Rev. Lloyd Locklear officiating. Burial followed in the Lumbee Memorial Gardens.
