Loretta Lois Mack

Loretta Lois (Manguso) Mack passed away at her home on April 19th after a long illness. Loretta was born in New Haven, CT, on July 13, 1943, to the late Pasquale and Rose (Miranda) Manguso. She spent her formative years in Wallingford and returned to raise her children near her family and friends. Loretta was a true "Renaissance woman." Defying expectations, she excelled in many roles: carpenter, gardener, fine art painter, jewelry designer, crafter, homemaker, entrepreneur, saleswoman, teacher, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She lived her life on her terms and left a legacy of "anything is possible." Her artwork can be viewed at lorettamack.com. Loretta is survived by her daughter, Shannon (Mack) McNeice and her husband David, and her son, William Mack and his wife Krislyn, as well as three beloved grandchildren Ashley, Evan, and Emily who were the light of her life. Loretta is also survived by two sisters, JoAnn Dahlquist and her husband Ron and Patricia Lentz, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Karen Dyer. Loretta also had a very special group of friends: Lorraine, Missy, Jess, and Cath with whom she loved to spend time. Loretta's family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St., Wallingford. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to HHC at Home Hospice Care.
