LORETTA MAE TORRENCE

Loretta Mae (Tindall) Torrence, the daughter of Miles J. and Elizabeth (Bosold) Tindall was born June 19, 1917, in Graettinger, Iowa. Mae departed this life on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at Good Samaritan Care Center in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 95. She received her education in the Graettinger Schools. On April 15, 1939, she was united in marriage to George Torrence at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Graettinger. After their marriage the couple made their home in Graettinger. Mae was employed for the Graettinger Schools for many years. Mae was otherwise a housewife and a sweet mother. George passed away July 20, 2001. She was a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Left to cherish Mae's memory are her children, Marge Dahlstrom and her husband, Jim of Fairmont, Minnesota; David Torrence of Couer d Alene, Idaho; Dorothy Jean Barnes and her husband, Paul of Estherville; Barbara Janssen and her husband, LeRoy of Titonka, Iowa; Deborah Wadsley of Titonka; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and brother, Edwin "Brick" Tindall and his wife, Carroll all Graettinger. Preceding Margaret in death are her parents; husband; four brothers, Ralph; Raymond; John and Arthur and four sisters, Alice; Mabel; Margaret and Dorothy.
