Lorine Elaine "Lori" Luce, 81, of Hillsboro, OREGON, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2024 when she lost her brave and valiant battle to congestive heart failure. Lori was born on April 6, 1943, in Battle Creek Michigan to the late Jesse Franklin Baker and Mary Ellen Rishel Baker.

Lori was a 1961 graduate of Springfield High. She was a 1962 graduate of Wright Beauty Academy.

Lori married Richard Hurley in 1962 in Battle Creek Michigan. They relocated to Pueblo Colorado and later Portland Oregon. Together they raised three sons.

Lori married Jon Luce in 1982 and together they raised a blended family.

Lori lived a vibrant life filled with love for her family, art, and she was passionate about her convictions. She was a talented artist who expressed her emotions and love through her paintings and art projects.

Lori was a devoted wife to Jon Luce, a loving mother to her sons Michael, Stephen, and Scott Hurley, a loving sister to Patti and a cherished aunt. She was a loving stepmother to Teresa Lewis, Betty Jo Pritchett and Jon Luce, Jr. and a cherished grandmother to Alyssa, Nicole, Lindsay, Karlie, Andrew and Ryan Hurley. She was a cherished step grandmother to Shay and Taylor Lewis, Michelle Parshley, Cody Gilman and Lisa Neetz. She was a loving great grandmother to Maia Lewis, Theo Barnes, Sabrina Parshley and Hannah and Rachel Neetz.

She also was a devoted cat mom to Lilly, and a loyal friend to many.

In her career, Lori excelled in various roles, including as a Former Office Manager/Inn Service Guide, Former Consumer Affairs Representative at Nike, Former Multi-Media/Tech at NW Regional ESD, and an Avon Representative.

Lori's was happiest spending quality time with her family. Lori loved traveling and was especially fond of cruises with her family. Her hobbies were cooking, baking, arts and crafts, reading on her iPad, and delving into her passion for technology.

Per Lori's wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced. Contributions in Lori's memory can be made to The Cats Cradle Rescue Hillsboro.

Lori is survived by her husband Jon Luce, sons Michael, Steven and Scott Hurley, a sister Patricia Packham, stepchildren Teresa Lewis, Betty Jo Pritchett and Jon Luce, Jr. and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents, niece DeAnna Packham and daughter-in-law Sheila (Steven) Hurley.

The Springer and Son Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
