Lorna and I attended Valparaiso school from 1936 onwards. She was a great sport and played goalie while I played defense until Mr Newlove, our coach, said that a woman with teeth broken off should not play goal, so she became a noisy cheerleader instead.

We were friends forever, and I will treasure her memory and thank God for her life.

Lorna entered my life when I was 8 years old, when she took flying lessons from my dad in Wetaskiwin. I remember thinking then she was a bright and happy person who danced to her own tune. She was a beacon of light whenever she was near. There were many fun visits to the Health Unit in Camrose on weekends as well as family and friend get-togethers at our Wetaskiwin acreage. Lorna and Wally were a big part of our family and remained in close contact with my parents throughout the years. I miss you, Lorna.

I am the granddaughter of pearl and jack Ross ... lorna was a lovely presence throughout my entire life. I feel very prevailaged to have known her and always enjoyed spending time with her.she had a kind heart and had a very calming way about her . I know my grandmother considered her a very special friend . I was very sad to hear of her passing and my thoughts are with her family....best regards. Debora Jensen

Liz and the Staff at Fountain Tire in St. Albert will miss Lorna's daily visits for coffee and her picking up of (in her words) her letters from home. Her laughter will be sadly missed.

We are very saddened to read of Lorna's passing. She was a special gal and we so enjoyed her company - here at Fanny Bay, in her St. Albert home and especially, for several years, at the Masters jumping event, Spruce Meadows Calgary.
We will miss you, Lorna and will remember you with love.
