Lorna Irene Stringam Scott 1941 ~ 2005 Lorna Irene Stringam Scott of Mullica Hill, New Jersey, passed away November 13, 2005, of respiratory failure after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, James Fuller Scott; son, Colin Edward of Sacramento, Ca; daughter, Nancy Elaine Huntsman (Eric), of Provo, Utah; son, Kevin Theodore (Marlaine), of Salt Lake City, Utah; two grandchildren, Rachel and Samuel Huntsman, of Provo, Utah; and four sisters, Ruth Nordstrom, of Idaho, and Georgina Taylor, Sharon Porter, and Gail Howe, of Utah. Mrs. Scott was born in Cardston, Alberta, February 28, 1941, the daughter of the late Alonzo Williams Stringam and Mary Alta Anderson. Following graduation from the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute in 1959, she received a certificate in medical technology from the University of Alberta Hospital and was registered with the Canadian Society of Laboratory Technology in 1961. She pursued a career as a medical technologist, most recently with Virtua West Jersey Health System at Voorhees from 1987 until her death. Mrs. Scott was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In past years she was particularly involved with music, singing with and leading church choirs. An accomplished amateur ballroom dancer, she loved life, glamorous clothes, and holidays. Services will be held Tuesday, November 22, at the East Millcreek 16th Ward chapel, 3408 S. Celeste Way, Salt Lake City at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive visitors from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Gardens.
