Even though I had never met Lorne Carr, my parents spoke so highly of him and Amy. Their adoration for him is something that has always struck me as special.Heck, they even named me after him. I wish for Judy and Lorne's entire family to know, that they are in our thoughts. Even though he lived an amazing 96 years, it still is difficult to not have that loved one close at hand.
Thinking of you,

I have two reasons to be saddened by the death of Lorne Carr. I work at the Hockey Hall of Fame and, along with Bill Hay, was one of the people instrumental in securing the Stanley Cup for Lorne during the NHL lock-out. He looked so good and I wrote a story about it for the Hall of Fame's website. But in addition, my great-uncle, Jack McLean, played with Lorne on the Leafs in the 1940's, and Jack always told me how well Lorne treated him when he was a nervous 19-year-old rookie.

A little prayer and a big smile for a life well-lived, and my heartfelt condolences to the Carr family.
