Lorne Scott Obituary
SCOTT _ Lorne William Bill Born October 13th, 1927 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is with great sadness that we announce Bill's passing on April 11th, 2007 after a lengthy illness and stay at Ridge Meadows Hospital. Bill was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Ida-belle Scott, a sister Gwen Read of Coldwater Michigan, brothers Dan, Bob, and Ted all of New Westminster. Survived by his loving wife Norma of 54 years, a dear sister Orpha Davies of New Westminster, and his three sons Dave (Rita), Brad, Jeff (Brenda), seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and a large extended family. Bill will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul and for the love he has for his family and friends. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 18th at the Burkeview Chapel, 1340 Dominion Ave., Port Coquitlam, BC. 604-944-4128. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation, 11666 Laity St., Box 5000, Maple Ridge, BC V2X 7G5 or the charity of your choice, with thanks.

My heart goes out to Norma, Dave, Brad and Jeff and the rest of the family. Bill was a very dear man who touched those who knew him. I will miss his cheeky smile and his great sense of humour and our chats over tea.

Our families have crossed paths over many years and finally ended up as one. We have now experienced both grandfathers pass within two weeks. We always loved and respected Bill as a great husband, father and grandfather. He will be sorely missed by family and friends. Rest in Peace Bill.
