Lorraine Easter Obituary

A long time resident of Grays Harbor County, passed away on February 20, 2009 in Spokane, Washington. Lorraine was born December 25, 1923 in Tacoma, Washington to Samuel Ransom Louderback and Lucille Elizabeth Runyon Louderback. She was one of fourteen children and attended schools in Hoquiam, Washington. After graduating from Hoquiam High School she worked at the Rayonier Pulp Mill as a lab technician during World War II. After the War ended she met the love of her life Frank L Easter at the pulp mill. They were married July 7, 1946 in Montesano, Washington and resided in Aberdeen, Washington raising their family until 1973 when they moved to their paradise "The Ranch" at Porter, Washington that has been in the family since 1863. Lorraine and Frank "Hank" were married for 61 years when Hank passed away January 14, 2007. Lorraine loved to bowl, play golf at Oaksridge, watch sports, paint and take care of her dog Gigi who remained at her side. She also worked on the election board for over 50 years in both Aberdeen and Porter and served on the Grays Harbor Weed Control Board for many years. She was a proud member of the Sharon Grange. Lorraine is survived by two children; Marlene West (Ron) of Aberdeen, Washington and Frank R Easter (Carmen) of Chattaroy, Washington. Four Grand children; Jeff Burgess of Lacey, Washington; Scott Burgess (Susan) of Olympia, Washington; Adin Easter (LeeAnn) of Elk, Washington; and Sarah Parks (Sean) of Deer Park, Washington. And eight Great Grand children; Kenny and Dayton Easter of Elk, Washington; Grady and Cooper Parks of Deer Park, Washington; Jacob and Kaylee Burgess of Lacey, Washington and Lindsey and Madelynn Burgess of Olympia, Washington. Lorraine is also survived by five remaining brothers and sisters; Sam Louderback Jr , Rochester, Washington; Shirley Coleman, Aberdeen, Washington; Nancy Gratias, Winlock, Washington; Dorothy Reliech, Seattle, Washington; and Sharon Bonnell of Hoquiam, Washington. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank L Easter, brothers Chester Louderback, Jack Louderback, JT Louderback, and Donald Louderback and sisters Catha McDonald, Helen Kearney, Betty Fisher, and Margie Booth and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Lorraine's life will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 1PM at the Whiteside Family Mortuary Chapel, 316 West Young St, Elma, Washington. A reception will held at the Sharon Grange Hall immediately following the service.
