Lorraine KNIPPLE Obituary

Published by Regina Leader-Post from Nov. 1 to Nov. 4, 2017.

KNIPPLE, Lorraine
Lorraine, late of Regina SK, passed away peacefully at Regina General Hospital on Sunday, October 29, 2017 with her family by her side. Lorraine is survived by her husband of 56 years Wayne Knipple; daughter Jody Knipple (Greg); son Troy Knipple; son Chad Knipple (Tammy); grandchildren Kayle Schmekel (Andie); Michael Knipple (Megan); Ryan Knipple; Kelsey Knipple (Corey); Jacy Knipple; Brenden Knipple; great- grandchildren Jaxx Schmekel; Harper Schmekel; Walker Schmekel; cousins Dwight Daunheimer; Deidre Leonard (Craig); Kurt Daunheimer (and family); Stacey McClintock (Kelly and family); and extended family Traci Schmekel (Scott and family). Lorraine was predeceased by her grandparents Katherine and John Daunheimer; aunt and uncle Ervan and Doreen Daunheimer; mother Jean Stein and Mickey Nathanson; extended family Bill and Phyllis Bieber, Helen Rickard and Delanna Mills. Lorraine was born on October 23, 1940 and raised in Melville Saskatchewan, having left to pursue a work opportunity for five years with the Regina Leader Post - Editorial Department. On April 29, 1961 Lorraine Stein married Wayne Knipple and together they raised their wonderful family. In 1992 Lorraine returned to work at her family business (Falcon Group) and enjoyed working alongside her family for the next 25 years. Lorraine was a kind and soft hearted soul yet a pillar of strength and conviction. She was always there if you needed her, she loved her family deeply, every get together shared was an event to her. It didn't matter what we were doing, because we were doing it together, making our memory bank full to the brim. We are grateful to have been blessed with each others' presence for many years. She was a strong believer with great faith; the Lord was always in her heart, home and conversation…as her family learned much from her example. Lorraine was a devoted care giver to her mother Jean and her husband Wayne. Lorraine's generosity also extended beyond her family to assist others such as, Community Living, Souls Harbour and World Vision. Lorraine took pleasure in bowling, reading, nutrition and exercise. Her greatest joy was her family! Special thanks to the Regina Ambulance Service, Regina General Hospital Emergency Surgical ICU and Medical ICU Nurses and Caregivers, Dr. Joseph Buwembo, Saskatoon Royal University Hospital ICU Nurses and Caregivers, Dr. Mike Kelly, Stars Air Ambulance of Saskatoon and Saskatchewan Air Ambulance Services, as we are forever grateful and blessed by your dedication, service and compassion. The family would also like to thank Pastor Lynn Robertson for her beautiful words of comfort and assurance, as well as those from Melville, who were part of Lorraine's life, and also to her wonderful family. We invite all to join in A CELEBRATION OF LORRAINE KNIPPLE'S LIFE at Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina SK on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. The family invites all to attend a lunch and picture presentation to follow. A private family interment of ashes will be held at Melville Cemetery in June of 2018. Memorial donations in Lorraine's memory may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4B 1B7. Lorraine Knipple was a strong kind and caring lady who lived a good life and by the grace of God is now at peace in her eternal home. Not a memory that we shared or made will ever be forgotten. My life and heart is full with the loving memories of you. My Mother, my friend, I have loved you so and will forever more. We shared everything in this life. We didn't waste a moment, or miss a chance to be together, we shared every experience here as Mother and Daughter. God blessed me with you. I will carry you deep inside my heart for the rest of my life. God you have promised us everlasting life, we have believed in your word and our faith is even stronger in physical death. Momma our bond doesn't end here. Your love is pure and beautiful and I will continue to confide in you and love you just as I always have. God will reunite this family one by one and I will be anxiously awaiting that moment, the moment when my heart will be filled once more with the love that only a Mother can give. God I have placed my trust in you for all of my life, I have placed my Mother now in your loving care. Please remind her every day about how loved she was by her family, and how much we were blessed because of her unique love. I ask you to wrap your loving arms around her, show her your paradise. She is your child and is home, Lord please make her home as magnificent as she has made ours.
MOTHER
To the one that bears the sweetest name
and adds a luster to the same,
Who shares my joy,
cheers me up when I am sad,
The greatest friend I ever had.
Long life to her,
for there is no other..
Who takes the place
of my dear Mother

Rest in beautiful loving peace Mom

Amen. Jody xoxoxoxoxox

My deepest sympathy to you, Wayne and your family. I was a cousin to Lorraine and I have so many memories of Lorraine and I when she spent many times visiting at our home in Neudorf during summer vacation. We were always referred to as Little Lorraine and and (me) Big Lorraine as I was just slightly. In recent years we had numerous phone conversations. I will miss her so much
