Lorraine Rhea Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 14, 2025.
Lorrie lived life to the fullest. Whether it was managing a children's shop in Park Ridge Illinois before moving to North Carolina or serving on the many committees for Grace Lutheran Church. Lorrie delivered Meals On Wheels with my dad when he was 90 and she was 84 years old. She enjoyed making quilts and baptism banners with the Amazing Graces and continued to serve the church by sending out birthday cards to church members after my Dad's passing. For over 40 years she always looked to serve Grace Lutheran Church in whatever capacity she was able to do. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren especially when they came to visit and on holidays. Family gatherings were one of her

favorite times and she loved to prepare for them. After moving back to Illinois Lorrie stayed in contact with her many life long friends from the church and over 40 years of friends she met while living in Raleigh. She always tried to put others before herself and her faith in God guided her thru her whole life.

Lorrie is survived by:

Children: Kevin Rhea, wife Karen

Linda Hamlett, husband Rick

Grandchildren: Andy Rhea, wife Julia

Great-Grandchildren: Brooke Bolton, Ryan Bolton,

Christopher Rhea, Charlotte Rhea

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph and her grand daughter Julie Bolton.
