Lorraine Rossi Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 30, 2020.
Lorraine Rossi
Beloved wife, mother and grandmother
Lorraine was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Robert and Anne Ardigo. She was the younger of two children and the older, Robert Jr.
Lorraine not only attended school in Brooklyn, she excelled in it. She skipped grades in junior high school and graduated a year early. She went on to work as a legal secretary in NYC.
She met and married her husband, Salvatore Rossi, and together they raised two children, Jessica Rossi-Mascara and Christopher Rossi.
Lorraine was a homemaker and loved caring for not only her children but also for her nieces and nephews. To her it was a labor of love. She was always the sympathetic ear to many family members and friends without judgement or reservation. She always had a smile and a kind word for all that she met.
She is survived by her husband, Sal, of 35 years, her two children, Jessica and Christopher, and her son-in-law, Nicholas Mascara and granddaughter, Raine Mascara.
Memorial Visitation will be offered at Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home, 7447 Amboy Rd., on Friday, July 31 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Mass at Our Lady Help of Christians RC Church, 7396 Amboy Rd., Saturday, is on Aug. 1 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Stephen Siller Foundation in Lorraine's name.

Dearest Sal , Chris and Jess. I feel your loss and know your sorrow. This loss is life altering but when my mom passed away someone told me this quote by A.A.Milne that I will never forget ...“How lucky I am to have had something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” Lorraine was a gift. Thst now awaits you in heaven where will we all meet again. All our love to all of you. Barbara and family

Dearest Family, I am so sad that I cannot be with you all to comfort you and show my love for my dear cousin Lorraine. This has been extremely hard on you all, and very unbelievable to me. She will always be my loving cousin, my sister and I will miss her forever. Patti Gandolfo
