Lorraine Vito (nee Anderson), age 89, of the Village of Lakewood, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in Chicago.
She was born September 18, 1925 to Torin and Albina (nee Czosek) Anderson in Chicago. On July 7, 1945, Lorraine married Frank Vito in Chicago.
She was proud to be a wonderful mother to three sons, and a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Lorraine made the art of cooking and baking her specialties, something her whole family treasured and looked forward to! Most importantly, she was known for the extreme love and dedication to her family.
Lorraine is survived by her son, Dennis (Karen) Vito; daughter-in-law, Kelly Vito; brother, Roger Anderson; granddaughters, Valerie (Trey) Breeden, Victoria, Angela, and Abbey Vito; grandsons, Anthony (Elizabeth), Michael, and Christopher Vito; and great-grandchildren, Mitchell and Madeleine Breeden, and Ava Vito.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Donald Vito and Frank Vito Jr.; and her brother, Kenneth "Bud" Anderson.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m., at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014.

I'm so sorry to hear that Lorraine passed away. I just found out today when I talked with Wade and Judy. She was such a loving friend to my parents. My Mom always loved being with her and enjoyed the Christmas cookies that Lorraine would bring over every year. I'm glad I got to talk and spend some time with her at Good Shepherd before she got transferred to Chicago. She was a very loving person and will be greatly missed.
