to my love, when we meet there was instant attraction that lasted all through of the twelve years we were together. We laughed together and you always found the humor in even the darkest and sad situations. You always treated me like a rare gem and protected me like your most valued possession. You were full of love and always found good things about everyone. We had many plans and happy years together and I will never forget them. Even people that just knew you knew how proud you were of josh, Dylan and me. I will cherish that thought always. I remember the fun loving, adventurous man who told me I was wild and spontaneous and had serendipity. We made a wonderful and loving couple ready to conquer our life ahead of us. You will live in my heart forever as my soul mate and my true love. People say you only have one true love and baby you were it for me and I know I was it for you. You may have left this earthy world but your presence will be forever felt by me. I love you lou

From my heart to my dear sons-
Many years ago I met a man. A man who was a real character, full of laughter, full of joy and full of jokes. You all know him...that's Lou.
We had many happy years together and were lucky enough to have two of the most amazing boys you will ever meet. Josh and Dylan were Lou's most proudest moments. He would spend countless hours holding them, playing with them and making up imaginary stories of adventure to entertain them. You could see that sparkle in his eyes as he looked upon his boys, and they in return.
As they grew up he was continuously there for every sport they chose beaming with pride. There was not a day that went by without him expressing how much he loved them and how he had learned so much from them. There was always a huge hug to follow.
Lou was genuine to his feelings, caring, compassionate and a pillar of strength for his children. As they became young men those womderful traits never lost their intensity.
He honestly believes that they will reach for the stars and knows in his heart and soul that they will achieve it.
Lou, you will always and forever be in our hearts and know that yours sons have nothing but the best of memories of you and are proud to carry on the Campanaro name.
We all miss you and love you.
Ciao Lou,

Remembering our old friend and neighbour, Lou - the laughs we had over his pouring of concrete, the gathering of roses, the planting of mint - the list goes on.
Our condolences to Josh and Dylan and their mother.
Lou will be missed. He always brought joy with his sense of humour and wit.
Rest in Peace, My Friend!

There are very few times in ones life where you meet a person that can instantly make you feel full of life, laughter and at complete ease. We had the privilege of meeting Lou and his dear "Jennie" in Jamaica in April 2010 and a what an unforgetable firendship and amazing memories we created during that very special week.
I write this with a heavy heart and I will pray for a good man and good strong family which I know from my conversations with Lou he deeply cared for.
Our "Papa" on the Vacation as we got to know him was a special man. To this day I remember how he intorduced me all around the resort as his son! Its funny because although we were having fun and sharing a good time I actually felt the genuine interest and admiration we mtually had for one another.
Like I said Lou was one in a million. God bless his family and our 'Momma" Jennie during this difficult time.

With Love

I have known Lou for over 21 years, since the old Customs and Excise/GST implementation days. We have worked together, socialized together and laughed together on many occasions. Lou, I can say with all honesty that you are one of the most engaging, respectful and encouraging people I have had the pleasure to have known at CRA. God bless your soul and may you rest in peace.

I have worked with Lou for over ten years now, during which time I learned to respect his ideas and sense of loyalty to the Excise team. Lou supported the program, and always shared his candid views on issues he considered would make us more effective and relevant. I will greatly miss his unique, highly social and humourous style.

I extend my sincere condolences to Lou Campanaro's family. I first came to know Lou over 10 years ago, while he was briefly acting manager of Excise Duty at our Ottawa headquarters during an especially busy period. He was always very helpful and supportive of his staff. As manager of Excise Duty in the Pacific Region, he was also well liked and respected by his staff there and by everyone else in Excise Duty across the country who worked with him over the years.
