MORIN, Lou "Papa" On July 17, 2010, Lou Morin, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 years, with his family at his side. Lou is survived by his loving family: his wife of 60 years, Verna; daughter, Lorene (Ray); sons: Louis (Elaine), Jim (Diane) and Paul (Janine); grandchildren: Lise (Matt), Mike (Allison), Julie, Michelle, Frances, Palmer and Kadin; great grandchildren: Ethan, Mason, Cohen and Tatum; sister, Jeanette; numerous wonderful nieces and nephews (whom all claim to be Uncle Lou's favorite); as well as in-laws: Norm, Vera, Blanche and Jack. Lou's entire working career was with the Canadian National Railways highlighted by a three year assignment in Guinea, West Africa. From there, Lou and Verna traveled the world and shared their joy of life with all who crossed their path. Calgary was home for Lou and Verna's retirement of 30 years. The family would like to thank the Kipnes Centre for Veterans (Columbia House) for the excellent care they gave Dad for the past seven months. Special thanks to our cousins the Lane Family for "being there" not just now but throughout Dad's retirement years. Verna and Family,
Lou was a White Hat Volunteer at the Calgary International Airport which is how I got to know him. He used to tease me about my hometown in Saskatchewan-- he knew every little place. I am very sad to hear of his passing.

My sincere condolences to Verna and all the family. Lou and I worked together off and on from 1965 until his assignment in Africa. Since retirement we used the internet to keep in touch. Lou was always a very warm person and always made everyone at ease. God grant him eternal peace

I was so saddened to hear of your dear Dad's passing. All of the Totino's have wonderful memories of the friendship we've shared with your family and your Dad especially. I'll always think of him as a man who truly loved life and lived well. Deepest condolences to you all.

Love, Bella
