LouAnn Dunn Obituary

LouAnn Dunn was born in Portland, OR. She was the loving wife of James Dunn, step-mother of Pene (Zenon) Kesik, Dennis (Marcia) Dunn, Larry (Sang Im) Dunn and Cande (Gene) Buccola. She was the proud grandmother (Nana) of 6 grandchildren: Ryan (Melanie) Buccola, Kelley (Brad) Solberg, Timothy (Myriah) Buccola, Dennis James (Ericka) Dunn, Molly Buccola and Andrew Terbush. She was proud to be the great-grandmother of Cecilia, Cande, Damon, Jack, Wesley, Myah, Stella, Monte, Jameson, Geno, Wyatt, and Robert.
She was predeceased by her husband James Dunn in 2015, her parents Samuel Scott and Bessie Brown Scott, first husband Harmon Lougher and step-son Dennis Dunn.
LouAnn was raised in Berkeley, CA. She married Harmon Lougher in 1946 and lived in several locations while he was in the Coast Guard, including Boston, New Orleans and Juneau. In each location she worked in the banking industry and retired from Lloyds Bank in Los Angeles. LouAnn and Harmon lived in Long Beach and moved to Seal Beach in 1965 where they later divorced.
In 1973 she married James Dunn and they traveled extensively and were sincerely fond of meeting people from other countries.
LouAnn was especially proud of being a founding member of LOTE in Seal Beach in 1988. Through LOTE she had many happy years of companionship, lifelong friends and service to her community.
In 2011, on the 40th anniversary of Seal Beach's Historical Society Jim and LouAnn were named Man and Woman of the Year.
Special thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Living Well for providing quality care for the past 8 years and Compassionate Care Hospice.

It has been decades since we last visited you LouAnn in Seal Beach with my mother Carol, who kept in touch. We have very warm memories from Walnut Creek days of you, who married Harmon, my father's cousin. We six Joseph kids first learned to swim in your pool, LouAnn, almost 60 years ago! Rest In Peace. Say hi to Mom.
