The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave., Union, N.J,. on Saturday at 8 a.m. The Funeral Mass is at St. James Church in Springfield at 9 a.m. Interment will take place in Spain. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. For directions or to send condolences, visit galantefh.com.
Born in Spain, Rita lived in Bayonne from 1969 to 2008 before moving to Springfield six years ago.
Wife of the late Sergio Vazquez, Rita was the mother of Augustin Vazquez and his wife, Maria, and Manuela Martinez and her husband, Jose Luis. She was the sister of Antonio, Jose, Fernando, and Manuela Beiro, and Florentina Quintela, and the grandmother of David, Luis, and Gabriella Martinez, and Victoria and Adrian Vazquez.

Lamento de escuchar de su perdida. Nunca es facil a perder a un ser querido. Pero algo que encontre de animo es la promesa que nos da Dios en su palabra La Biblia. En Hechos 24:15 nos dice que, "y tengo esperanza en cuanto a Dios, esperanza que estos mismos tambien abrigan, de que va a haber resurreccion asi de justos como de injustos." Vemos ese esperanza que Dios nos da de un resurreccion. Vamos a poder ver a nuestros seres queridos de nuevo en el futuro. Cuanto anhelamos ese dia para poder a ver a Rita de nuevo!
