Louis Ardagna Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 7 to Feb. 8, 2023.
Louis is survived by wife of 49 years Rhoda, son Christopher (Elena) and precious grandson Salem, sisters Cari (Don) Bochenek and Elizabeth (John) Pfeilsticker. He was the uncle of dozens of nieces and nephews, and brother-in-law to many.

Lou was the son of Jennie and Joseph Ardagna. Born in Detroit, raised in Saint Clair Shores, and settled in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

He was a graduate of Wayne State University and had a 30 year career in sales for Copper & Brass Sales, subsequently ThyssenKrupp Materials.

Lou loved camping, the Tigers, and yes the Lions. Above all he loved his family. He loved being "Pop Pop" to Salem.

He will be greatly missed, especially for that great laugh he famously had.

In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen or the Salvation Army.

Louie was a good friend. We rocked the halls of South Lake. Rest In Peace brother.

I was heart broken learning of Louie´s passing. Growing up as neighbors and close friends there are endless memories of better times. Our families were close, sharing delicious Italian food from the Ardagnas and Greek food from our house. I always smile when I think about Louie´s grandparents living in their house and hearing the opera music his grandpa loved to play.
Although we lost touch with each other after high school that doesn´t change the friendship, he was my brother and always will be. Rest in peace my friend and God Bless your family.

I consider myself very fortunate to have met Lou during his latter years. But even in that short time I quickly learned that he was not only a very good man but that he was also a great listener, He even kindly managed to laugh at some of my witticisms which was quite a feat in itself. Anyways I was really looking forward to speaking with him at our next family event, but I guess that will have to keep for now. Blessings to all the family for their major loss.

Rhoda, Elizabeth and Cari...We are deeply saddened to hear of Louie´s passing. Memories of him and your family have always had a special place in my heart. We shared a wonderful childhood as neighbors on Avalon and I always considered Louie as my other brother. May he be blessed with eternal peace.

Will always remember Lou being nervous on the boat and the lake but loving ice skating on the frozen lake. May his memory be eternal.

I have many fond memories with Lou during our life journeys. We lived on the same street, attended same high school, was my best man at my weddings, sold my first home to Rhoda and him, and many more. He was a kind and awesome family man. His smile and laughter will be missed but never forgotten.

Lou And Rhoda were Rob and my camping buddies for years. We miss this since he was sick. We helped each other with raising our families. My heart hurts but laughs when I think of things we. Love all of you.

One of my favorite memories of Uncle Lou was when I was around 8 years old and we would play catch at his house. He was like a second dad to me then and he was really great at it.
