Mrs. Joyce, David & Gary

I am so sorry for your loss, I have so many wonderful memories of growing up with you all as friends. Your entire family was very close to me for a long time. Reflect on all the good times (at least for us kids) so that your heart will be filled with joyful memories.

TAPS
Louis C. Funel, Jr

Day is done.
Gone the sun.
From the lakes
From the hills.
From the sky.
All is well.
Safely rest.
God is nigh.

Fading light.
Dims the sight.
And a star.
Gems the sky.
Gleaming bright.
From afar.
Drawing nigh.
Falls the night.

Thanks and praise.
For our days.
Neath the sun
Neath the stars.
Neath the sky
As we go.
This we know.
God is nigh

It is the Soldier
In Honor of Louis C. Funel, Jr, US Army

It's the Soldier,
not the pastor/preacher, who has given us freedom of religion and worship.

It's the Soldier,
not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

It's the Soldier,
not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

It's the Soldier,
not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble and demonstrate.

It's the Soldier,
not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It's the Soldier,
not the politician, who has given us the right to vote, ensures our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
It's the Soldier, Who salutes the Flag, who serves beneath the Flag and whose coffin is draped by the Flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag.

ETERNAL REST GRANT HIM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON HIM.
