Louis Thomas Gall III

MARYSVILLE - Louis Thomas Gall III, 54, of North Lewisburg died Saturday, November 16, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family. A self-employed roofer, he had a love of wildlife and added beauty to nature. He gave strength and admiration to all. Above all, he had a heartfelt devotion to his family and protected all he loved. He had a powerful sense of humor and a smile that brought people together. Despite his health problems for many years, he had a strong will to live and was ready to accept God's new journey for him. During his time on earth, he was able to show how we all can be more powerful than we can imagine. An outdoorsman, he was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. Throughout his life, he was a loving pet owner and was deeply fond of his animals, Yeller, Possum, Elvis and Taz. Inspired by the philosophies of Bruce Lee, he was a self-taught martial artist and thus inspired his son to dedicate himself to the same teachings. He was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Dallas Cowboys and Elvis Presley. He was born May 18, 1959, in Rapid City, South Dakota, and was predeceased by his father, Louis Thomas Gall Jr.; his maternal grandmother, "Gran" Roberts; and his paternal grandparents, Louis and Marguerite Gall. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Judy K. Knox Gall; his son, Aaron (Kris "Fluffy") Gall of Urbana; his mother, Nancy Sue Roberts Gall of North Lewisburg; his brother, Rick (Sandra) Gall of Marysville; three sisters, Pamela (William) Seymour of Grove City, Vicki (Victor) Stover of North Lewisburg and Debbie Eubanks of North Lewisburg; and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and good friends. A memorial "Celebration of Life" gathering will be held 12 noon Saturday at his home. Pastor Jerry McQueen will officiate. Contributions may be made to the Louis Gall memorial fund in care of the family. UNDERWOOD FUNERAL HOME in Marysville is assisting the family.
