I was so very shocked and saddened to learn of Louis' death. He was truly a special spirit in this world, generous, caring, and loving. My heart goes out to David as well as Louis' many friends and family.
The world is a darker place without you in it.

I had the pleasure of meeting Louis twice through a mutual friend. What an absolutely amazing and wonderful person. I The world has lost a great human being. Rest in peace Louis. You are missed.

When I was very little I learned quickly that you were one of the most beautiful people in this world. I am so grateful to be your cousin and your friend. I have no idea where you are right now, but I know that death will be easier now. A charming, irreverent, and generous soul has crossed over.

Lou was an inspiration. His devotion to his art and passion for mentorship filled me with optimism. I met Louis in Miami five years ago. Since then his friendship and involvement in my life and career as an artist have been invaluable. I cherish that I had the opportunity to know Louis, however briefly. The mark Lou made on my life will never fade.

I will remember your laugh and smile at my house when we were kids......whenever I came home there were... you, Lisa., Jason, Elaine sitting at the bar listening to music and laughing. Rest in Peace

Although we had not seen one another since HS Louis was frequently on my mind over the years. His talent, grace, and compassion were and are an inspiration. I am so saddened for all who loved him for their loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

This is to the entire lurata family, I can not tell you how shocking it was to hear about louis, it's been over 30 years since we talked, But my sorrow is with you all, I can feel his absantes, even after all this time...my deepest condolence... We are saddened by your sudden passing. The entire Hernandez family is mourning the loss of such a young and talented man. I only met you recently at the wedding in September, and I am thankful for that. Your cousin David and I wish we could be there with your family. May your family find peace at this most sorrowful of times.
