Bernice Levinson Obituary
Bernice Levinson (nee Ruttenberg), on October 17, 2022. Wife of the late Howard; loving mother of David (Kathy Kirn), Michael (Cathy) and Mark (Sally); adoring grandmother of Al (Meghan), Madeline, Louis, Noah, Sophie and Isabelle. Sister of Lois (the late Seymour) Goldstein. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service on Thursday October 20th, 2022 at GOLDSTEINS’ ROSENBERGS RAPHAEL SACKS, 6410 N. Broad Street at 11:00 AM. Interment is private. Contributions in her memory may be made to The Greater Altoona Jewish Federation, www.greateraltoonajewishfederation.org.

Being best friends with Bernice´s son, Michael, since I was a teenager....we spent many weekends hanging out at their house fully welcomed to do so by his parents. When I was a 21 getting married and a newcomer to the Jewish faith/community, Bernice and Howard hosted a brunch for my husband´s and my families, which was such a lovely gesture. I also attended my first Seder at their home and it was so festive and fun. I have many fond memories of Bernice. She was an amazing woman.
