Elodia, children and grandchildren.

As you know Louis was not only a brother-in-law, but more so, was a brother and a father at times to me. I especially remember the good times when I lived with you in Alaska when I was only 7-8 years old. He and his friend Pasqual would tease me, but in a loving way. He treated me as if I was a daughter, not a pesty sister-in-law, who not only was invading their privacy during the first years of their marriage, but also an extra mouth to feed.

I cannot say how much I will miss our discussions on everything from politics to religion. He was always so adept in all he spoke. I will especially miss his wry sense of humor which displayed itself when the family would gather.

You can all be most proud of him. He was a great man!

To the Torres Family,

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Uncle Louie will be missed. I'm so proud how your family takes care of one another. What an inspiration to us all. One of my fondest memories of your dad is when we used to visit your family when you lived in Los Altos, he would treat all of us kids to Baskin Robbins ice cream. What a great childhood memory. I love you all, take care.
