MY Darling, my life, my beautiful husband,I only now can answer in words just now, one and a half years and I'm having trouble. I can only say my life ended with your last breath. It is very hard to live these horrible days without you by my side, You were always there, always insisting to sit next to me, always loving me. Oh, how can I go on without you?...Untill we meet again, I love you for ever

Dr. Trefonas inspired me to investigate chemistry in college and I have been fascinated by the physical sciences ever since.

This is a terrible loss to the world of science and teaching (even though he was retired from both)and he will be greatly missed by me and anyone he inspired along the way.

It is with great sadness that I learned of your husband and father's death. I will always remember Dr. Trefonas for his jovial nature, his honesty and his sincerity.

He brought a needed sense of creativity to the University of Central Florida (UCF) that he repeatedly demonstrated in his commitment to all of our research programs.

Although science was certainly his first love, I will always remember his strong desire to foster the arts on our campus as well. His legacy can be seen throughout UCF!

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
