Louis Michael Wright

Louis Michael Wright, affectionately called Mike, was born in Houston, Texas, on June 6, 1959, and passed away peacefully at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on February 2, 2023, at the age of 63.

Mike will be remembered for his generous spirit, kindness to others, and his infectious laugh which brought joy to everyone around him. He was able to express his animated personality by participating in a number of plays and musical productions during his time at Tomball High School. Following a year at Wharton Junior College, he left Texas to pursue his then girlfriend and passion for acting, moving to Los Angeles, California, where he lived for the rest of his life.

Mike learned the electrical trade earning a Journeyman License working at his family's business, Eidson Electric, and then leveraged that experience with the Bureau of Street Lighting for the City of Los Angeles for over 30 years. He met his life partner, Paulino Jose, in 1983 and together they lived a fulfilling life sharing a passion for raising Rottweilers and participating in competition dog shows.

Mike was preceded in death by his partner Paulino Jose, father Edwin Roger Wright, mother Arlane Eidson Wright, brother Jeffrey Scot Wright, and step-brother Darren Paul Busker. He is survived by his stepmother Kathryn Wright, brother Roger Lane Wright and wife Cathy, niece Brooke Kunzman and husband Chris, niece Rachel Wright and fianc?e Wade Burton, sister-in-law Stephanie Wright, step-sister-in-law Lisa Busker, stepbrother Tom Busker and wife Becky, and stepbrother Phil Busker and wife Melissa.

As we remember Mike, let us take comfort in the words of Philippians 3:20, "But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself." Mike will forever be in our hearts and memories, and his legacy will live on through the love and laughter he brought into the lives of those who knew him. Rest in peace, Mike.

Funeral services will be held on March 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Forest Lawn, Cypress, Patriots-Chapel, followed by a graveside service immediately following the service.
