The world has lost someone very special. Please accept my sympathy and good wishes. As a young African American woman on the staff of The Way,I was fortunate enough to observe Mrs. McCannelliving out her commitment to social and racial justice back in the late '60s when she was on the Board of The Way. She was phenomenal. She will always be remembered with great affection and respect. She really did leave this world a better place than she found it. May she rest in peace.

With deepest sympathy to the family during your time of sorrow. Psalms 46:1 says: God is for us a refuge and strength during this difficult time and may God grant you the comfort to endure.
