Louise C. Proske

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Louise Clara Bamsch Zoch Proske was called home by our heavenly Father on January 22, 2018. Louise had many family members waiting for her to join them - her parents Henry and Ernestine Bamsch, first husband Theodore Zoch, second husband David C. Proske, daughter-in-law Karen, sisters Elsie, Dorine and Hermine, brothers Gustav, Walter, and Milton.

Louise was born August 26, 1921 in Giddings, Texas. She was baptized and confirmed at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda, Texas. Louise married Theodore Zoch on April 13, 1941 in Warda, Texas and became his widow on November 12, 1944 when he was killed serving his country in the U.S. Army in France during WWII. She married David C. Proske on December 10, 1949 in Houston, Texas and became a widow a second time on June 10, 2007.

Louise gave selflessly to her Lord by serving her immediate and extended families. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Donna Proske Allyn and husband, Jim; son, Paul Proske and wife Angela; granddaughter, Kathy Falkenbury and husband, John; grandson, David Proske and wife, Rebecca; great-grandsons Michael and Wyatt; sisters in law, nieces, and nephews.

Special gratefulness is given to her St. Mark Family and friends who faithfully visited and prayed for Louise especially during the last few years. Extra gratitude is extended to The Cottage of Spring Branch and to Hospice Compassus .

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Heights Funeral Home. Louise's funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1515 Hillendahl, Houston, Texas 77055. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warda , Texas 78960.

In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church or to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
