Louise was a good friend and a lot of fun. I am not surprised by her individual accomplishments, but the total package is amazing. I will miss knowing that she is in this world. As others have stated, hers was a warm and nurturing family, and my condolences to Karl and Mary.

Looking at the photo, despite fifty years intervening since I last saw Louise, it is very much the kind, bright, eager Louise of the late 1950s. Many have written here of the Parade Street home that was a refuge for so many of us; it was a home of warmth, of trust, of intellect and cultivation. I am deeply saddened by the news of her death. My deepest sympathy to all of you!

I realized with the help of a friend that I forgot to say who I was! I wrote the condolence with the apricot reference.

I am Patricia Narducci Weaver. We graduated in 1960 from Academy High School.

I too was a classmate and also a friend of both Anita and Louise. Louise was in my class. We also went to Penn State together. I just found out of her death and am shocked and saddened. Best wishes to her entire family. She loved you all. I remember hanging out at Louise's house on Parade Street. Her dad had the camera shop and her mom introduced us to dried apricots--still a favorite. Good memories.

To her family, Louise an I were classmates at Academy. Anita was 2 years ahead of us. Often, we would do business at Jerome's. Plus, I had visited upstairs in their home. Anita went to Antioch; I went to nearby Wittenberg. I am vey much saddened to learn of Louise's death and that Anita proceeded her. My condolence to the entire family.
