My dearest Loyd, It has been almost a month since you left suddenly and quick. Forty-seven years although we have had good times and bad. We were always together as a family. You and I knew what we had. We raised our 6 kids and 12 grandkids, 2 step grandkids, 9 great grandkids and 4 step great grandkids. And one we never got to meet. Hope you got to meet him. Also mom and dad I loved them dearly. I miss you with all my heart and soul. And until we meet again I am thinking of you every minute of the day and nite. Remember you were my first and last love. Until we meet again forever your always, Your wife Jean

Dad I will miss you so much. I know we had our difficult times, but we also had our good times. I remember being "daddy's little girl", turning into "daddy's little tom-boy", then "daddy's holy terror".
Some of my fondest memories are me always wanting to go to work with you. I'm sure I really didn't help that much, but I sure thought I did!! Mom telling me how when you were roofing I wanted to help you so bad, but was afraid of heights. You asking me for shingles & me grabbing one shingle climbing the ladder until I got to the top & saying "here daddy". You telling me to bring it to you, which I did & you putting me on your shoulders to take me back down the ladder. The two of use repeating this process until quitting time.
Me helping you with fiberglass insulation & both of getting into trouble because I was allergic to it. But it didn't stop me from asking to go back with you!!
Those Saturday afternoons watching you race!!! Even the demolition derby times. How we would cheer for #13 OLE KING COLE!!! Watching NASCAR on Sundays cheering for Dale Sr.
I was always watching over your shoulder when you welded & getting into trouble for not having my helmet on!
Trying to hand you the right tool when you tinkered on toys.
How you ate my "cake" from the easy bake oven. How much trouble I got into when I tried to bake a special "cake" that had ingredients that SHOULD NEVER be placed in a cake!! But you took a bite anyways.
The doll you were so happy to give me for Christmas that I was scared to death of!! Because she was taller then I was. The look of terror on my face when you insisted we have a pitcher together.
I love you & am so glad to be "daddy's girl" I will always be you're little girl!
Rest in peace dad
