December 29, 1978 - February 17, 2021
With great sadness, the family of Luca Cingolani announces that he passed away on February 17. Luca was born in San Francisco. He lived with his family in Millbrae and graduated from Capuchino High in 1997 and from San Francisco State University in 2012.

Luca was keenly interested in astronomy and a lifelong fan of the SF 49ers and SF Giants. He loved camping, fishing, boating, swimming, and hiking. Luca's greatest passion was snowboarding the Sierras surrounding Lake Tahoe. More than that, he loved his friends of which there were many and he was intensely loyal to them. He had a quick laugh, infectious sense of humor and was always the life of any party.

He was preceded  in death by his stepfather, Charles Michelson, his grandparents Nanina (Annie Selli) and Giusto (Chester) Cingolani and Evelyn and Thomas Bowsher and uncle Tom Bowsher.

He is mourned. by a large, loving family including father Albert Francis Cingolani, mother Melodie Bowsher Michelson, sister Mia (Cingolani) Morris, brother-in-law Jared Morris, niece Hadley Morris and nephew Griffin Morris, aunt Nancy and uncle Walter Staltman, cousins Andrew Staltman, Matthew and Nancy Leigh Staltman, and many others.

I had only met Luca a couple of times at family events but he stood out in my memory. First, he is the namesake for my son, Luca Cingolani also. But secondly when he met my son he took him under his wing and paid him that special attention that toddlers love. Little 2-3 year Luca loved the special attention his -third cousin I guess- gave him throughout the day and most specially when we were leaving to go home he said, "be good, little man...and left him with a sly wink and a smile.
From Paul, Kristy, Luca and Matteo Cingolani with that same smile and a wink,
Godspeed Luca!
