Sweet angel your life was short but precious and know you are loved with many people that shed tears and miss you each and everyday. One year in heaven is a small stepping stone as you are up there with My son who celebrated his second year on May 18th. Maybe you two play together and watch me and your mother full of grief and emptiness due to you two being away. One day we will be able to smile upon all your memories and know you are safe from any more hurt or pain this world may have caused you. On your one year there will be candles lighted In your memory forever. You will be watching down with Jesus' s arms wrapped around you with equal love for his child. Serena, I admire your strength in sharing your story, so that I could get to know Lucas and the rest of you in a special way. My heart breaks for the pain you have been through, but I am honored to now be there to help you some, in my own way. Thank you for allowing me to do the drawing! It was a powerful experience and helped me feel your precious little one in a special way.
David, you and I have not really chatted or anything, but please know that as I pray for Serena's relief and healing, I pray for yours as well. I pray that you have others you feel comfortable sharing with, so your pain is not totally internalized.
Boys, I send you a big hug. Since your mom told me about Lucas, I have been praying for you a lot. In part because I also lost my baby brother :( though he died before he was born. I hope the picture I made for all of you comes to bring you peace and comfort!
