Lucia Ruiz

This is such a beautiful and heartfelt tribute for dear Lucia. She truly was a precious lady and a core memory of my life story. I loved when we all lived in Ft Hood and I was often at their house with my best friend Cathy and 3 sisters who were like family to me. I love that I was considered a 5th daughter. I always felt right at home. Mama Lucia would cook the best after school meals for us. She also taught me to understand a good amount of Spanish. I couldn't exactly say it back but I loved what I did understand and learn from her. I even had the privilege to travel with the family to Mexico to see family. Lucia and her beloved husband Frank have a very special place in my heart. May they both rest in peace as they are now forever united. I love you dear Ruiz family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Special mention to our beautiful Aunt Theo and her daughters, our cousins, Patricia & Jackie, who came and supported us through this difficult time. We are so blessed to have you in our lives. We will never be able to thank you enough for being here with us as Mom left this world. We love you.
