LUCILLE FRANCES BINGEL

BINGEL, LUCILLE FRANCES Lucille Frances Bingel passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Vibrant Life Senior Living of Temperance, Michigan. She was born in Flint, Michigan, October 9, 1920, to the late William and Josie (Hadaway) Hoard. She was a 1938 graduate of Flint Central High School. In the early 1940's Lucille was a member of Mu Delta Sorority and served a term as their National President. She married Harold William Bingel September, 27, 1941. They lived in Flint, Michigan, and were members of First Presbyterian Church. After retirement they moved to Lost Lake Woods Club, Lincoln, Michigan, spending winters in Florida, eventually moving to Florida year round and enjoying golf and travelling. When Harold was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Lucille was his loving caregiver until his death in July 2005 after 64 years of marriage. She enjoyed living at West Park Place in Toledo for 10 years before making the move to Vibrant Life Senior Living in Temperance, Michigan, in 2014. She was an Honorary Member of Beta Sigma Phi International, enjoyed golf, gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends. She was a Presbyterian Elder and a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, Toledo, OH. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harold. She is survived by her children Susan (Phillip) Burklow, John (Karen) Bingel; grandchildren, Daniel Bingel, Jeffrey (Robin) Burklow, Bradley Burklow, Garrett Burklow, Samuel Coleman and Erin Coleman; great grandchildren, Arizona Burklow, Maisy Burklow and Liberty Burklow; sister-in-law Helen Bingel and many nieces and nephews. The family extends its sincere thanks to Lucille's many friends and caring staff at Vibrant Life Assisted Living, Great Lakes Caring Hospice nurses and aides and friends and staff at West Park Place; also her Christ Presbyterian church friends and visitors that spent time with her. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2017, at Christ Presbyterian Church, 4225 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made in Lucille's name to Great Lakes Caring Hospice Foundation, 900 Cooper St., Jackson, MI 49202, or Christ Presbyterian Church.
