Best. Mom. Ever! I remember one Mother´s Day I had an old friend who´s mom I loved and gave her a Mother´s Day card. But accidentally switched the cards and gave my mom the "To my other Mother" card. It´s been a 40yr joke amongst the family ever since.. Will miss her extraordinarily capacity to care and her relentless efforts to buoy others to be their best..

The summer she took me into Bellport bay (walking distance from our Shirley home) and started to teach me to swim. I was 7 or 8 yrs old

Halloween night when I was 9 or 10 and it was raining! I and my friend came home drenched and sad....Lou and my sister Carmel jumped in her car, Lou driving, and drove us 10 or 13 miles to a large community of homes and had my friend and I go from house to house!!.. candywise we made out like bandits! NEVER will I forget that Halloween!

Mom, I love you so much and will miss you forever but you also taught me to look for joy in the little things and I promise I will do so. I know you are with Dad and you both are probably at the beach having a coffee and chatting -- that thought comforts me so much.
