Lu Stubbs was always a lovely person with loads of talent - I enjoyed visits to Sharon and speaking with her about art. We each taught at DeCordova & BCAE and only today I found her years sfter her passing. May her memory be for a blessing. She was one of the Sharon residents who welcomed me to the "burbs" long ago.

Lu Stubbs such a kind, sweet, talented woman! I have a connection with her from 1977 going to the DeCordova Lincoln museum meeting her at the solo showing there of her marvelous sculptures of some of the Boston Ballet dancers. I was so fortunate to be one of those dancers that Lu used a photo to sculpt my image (how did she do that from a photo?) of Dancer doing split with backbend! I couldn't purchase it that day, but with the help of Mahi I located Lu in Northampton 46 years later! ( Come to find out it was full circle finding Lu and going back to roots of the Parsons family via the Coronet Joseph Parsons Homestead also!) I am sooo Grateful to Lu Stubbs and Mahi Swan for a marvelous visit that day. Thank you. Full Circle. Rest In Peace Lu, God Bless your Soul. Beautiful Lady and artist! Love Nancy

It’s had to believe that Lou is gone. I always enjoyed spending time with both Lou and her husband at our Italian club. She was always a joy.

Lou was such a joyful person with a wonderful background. I enjoyed conversations with Lou at the Circolo Italiano group in Amherst. She will be missed by everyone.

I remember Lucy as a friend of my parents, her wonderful smile, and her spectacular sculpture of Deborah Sampson in front of the Sharon Library.

Lou Stubbs, mother of one of my best friends Sue, was a role model for me. I admired her perseverance in art school, the exciting camping trips the family took, and her basement where we role played before role playing became an official game. Most importantly, I remember her kindness to my mother when her health failed and she lived in the Hebrew Home after my sister died. My thoughts are with Sue, Debbie, and their families as they mourn their mother.

Life without Lou
less for all of us
one fond memory -
hearing people's voices change from drab to excited just talking to her on the phone!
an energy to be reckoned with!
So glad to have intersected!!!

Lou, was one of my favorite people from Sharon and part of an extended family that included the Fieman's and Alperins. I babysat both Deborah and Susan. It was the first time I ever had celery soup. xxxxxxxxxxxxx may she rest in peace.
