My thoughts are with all of Lucy's family - I still have her old answering machine message that she can't come to the phone because she's in the shower with Brook Dubman but leave your message and you'll be heard. I know you miss her very much and I hope that you're comforted by your memories of amazing Lucy.

I loved Lucy....she was such a fun lady to be around. Her love of her family was a joy to see. My love and prayers to her children and grandchildren. She was a one in a million.

To all of Lucy's family, you are in my prayers, as she has been for a long while. I was a classmate of hers at John Burroughs. It was my privilege to see her a few times in recent years. I was most touched by her absolute love of learning at her classes at the oasis. She loved being able to explore all sorts of new ideas and new adventures. She was an inspiration for living life fully. I hope you all are doing the same in memory of her.
Shalom

Lucy is the funniest, smartest and kindest lady I ever knew. She was open hearted, and especially kind to people who were different or hard to understand. Lucy's eloquence and humor made every conversation so enjoyable and memorable to me. She was a generous spirit and helped many friends and animals. She loved beautiful and strange things. She was always optimistic and never judgmental. She had a way of honing in on the special or unique quality of the various people who popped up in her life. Her home on Oakwood showed her creative spirit - her amazing powder room collage and her Truckers Welcome sign painted over the stove. I'm glad I was able to talk with her so often in her kitchen. She had an original view on life and her opinions were unpredictable and made me see things a different way. I will always remember the things she said. Most of all, that you never know anyone. And she said the last time I saw her, that when you realize that people are always changing, it allows you to be free. I'll think of Lucy all the rest of my life. Lucy is a free spirit, and she'll always be with us.
